1893 Turkish Mauser 1 Year, 2 Months ago Karma: 12
This Turk Mauser is built on the 1893 Mauser receiver, the ring has been cutout to allow the use of 7.92mm ammo rather than the original 7.65. This Turk has it all, beautiful patina on the wood and metal, matching numbers, even the bolt, spotless bore and unbuggered crown. Passes headspace like the day it was made, stock is rock solid, I did have to repair the usual handguard crack. I hadn't planned to add any more Turk Mauser's to the collection, but I didn't have any with a matching bolt so I figured what the hell. The stock has that nice solid feel to it these Turks always seem to have, probably the nicest Turk I have come across. The same seller has another almost like it, and I am tempted....so tempted.....

Wow, nice Turk! Was it that clean when you bought it or have you put some work into it. All of the Turkish Mausers I see are so dark and beat up. Yours is almost pristine compared to the ones around here. Very nice!

No cleaning needed, with any of my Turk Mauser's all I ever had to do with them was clean out the grease. This Turk is one of the few I have found with a matching number bolt, maybe if the range dries out I can test it soon.

The rifle has been tested, and like I suspected it shot very well, 3 MOA at 100 yards with the Turk ammo, not bad for me shooting Mauser sights.
